Making Immigration
Paperwork Easier.
Applying for U.S. citizenship or a Green Card involves more than simply completing a form. Every application requires accurate information, supporting documents, and careful attention to detail. Missing paperwork or simple mistakes can lead to delays or requests for additional information from USCIS.
Whether you’re applying for U.S. citizenship, requesting a Green Card, or renewing your Permanent Resident Card, we help you understand what documents may be needed, organize your paperwork, and navigate each step with greater confidence. Our goal is to make the process feel clearer, less stressful, and easier to manage.
When People
Usually Reach Out.
Every immigration journey is different, but many people contact us when they’re preparing an application, gathering documents, or simply want to feel more confident before submitting paperwork. Here are some of the most common situations we help with.
USCIS Forms
We Help With.
Application for Naturalization
Form N-400 is used by lawful permanent residents who meet the eligibility requirements to apply for U.S. citizenship through the naturalization process.
Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status
Form I-485 is used by eligible individuals applying for lawful permanent residence (Green Card) from within the United States through the Adjustment of Status process.
Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card
Form I-90 is used to renew an expiring Green Card or replace a Permanent Resident Card that has been lost, stolen, damaged, or contains incorrect information.
Policy Update (May 2026)
In May 2026, USCIS issued updated policy guidance regarding Form I-485 (Adjustment of Status). USCIS continues to accept and process I-485 applications. However, the agency now emphasizes that Adjustment of Status is a discretionary benefit and an “extraordinary” form of relief. Each application is reviewed individually based on the applicant’s specific circumstances.
USCIS policies and guidance may change over time. Before starting or submitting any immigration application, we recommend reviewing the most current forms, instructions, and policy updates available on the official USCIS website.
Untangle provides administrative assistance only. We do not provide legal advice or determine eligibility for immigration benefits. Final decisions on all immigration applications are made solely by USCIS.
